Columbus Blue Jackets Place Defenseman Mike Commodore on Injured Reserve

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defenseman Mike Commodore on injured reserve retroactive to October 9, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced October 19.

Commodore, 30, suffered an upper body injury against San Jose on October 9 and is listed as day-to-day. In two games this season, he is scoreless with nine penalty minutes. The Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta native has registered 21 goals and 77 assists for 98 points and 610 penalty minutes in 436 career games with New Jersey, Calgary, Carolina, Ottawa and the Blue Jackets.

The Blue Jackets return to action Wednesday when they host the Anaheim Ducks. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
