COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today the launch of the National Hockey League franchise’s official mobile app through the NHL GameCenter platform. In partnership with the NHL, the app gives fans a new way to follow the Blue Jackets this season using their smart phones and mobile devices on the Apple and Android operating systems. The app is currently available in the iTunes and Android Market app stores.
Fans that download the NHL GameCenter app and select the Blue Jackets as their favorite team will be able to access the team’s schedule and results, game play-by-play, statistics, NHL standings, game photos, player profiles and updated news. In addition iPhone and iPad users can track shots and goals with the 3D Ice Tracker. All users will also be able to watch feature videos from Jackets TV at BlueJackets.com and purchase single game tickets from within the app.
