COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets, in partnership with Mid-Am Hockey Association (Mid-Am) and My Team Cares, September 4 launched www.BlueJacketsCare.com, an online component of the overall “Blue Jackets Care” program which is designed to help maximize the youth sports experience for athletes and their families. Free memberships are available to all those interested by registering on www.BlueJacketsCare.com.
The online resource provides players, parents, league administrators, and coaches with valuable information regarding health, injury, and stress along with video content featuring drills, real-life stories from professional athletes including Blue Jackets players, and more. The web site is structured to focus specifically on hockey, but can also be related to other youth sports.
"We're very pleased to partner with Mid-Am in support of Blue Jackets Care. Participating in this program gives us another way to give back to the youth hockey community and stay involved at a grassroots level," said Blue Jackets Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson. "With articles ranging from proper conditioning to tryouts and recruiting, every active sporting family will benefit from becoming a member."
"This is a groundbreaking program that has many valuable tools for our members," said Paul Day, President of Mid-Am. "With the support of the Columbus Blue Jackets, we are able to provide the youth hockey community the resources and information they need to succeed."
