Columbus Blue Jackets Introduce Enhanced Coverage on Team Website with Addition of Podcast, New Video Programming

COLUMBUS, OHIO – As the Columbus Blue Jackets prepare to kick off their 10th National Hockey League season October 8, fans are encouraged to visit the team's website,, to check out enhanced programming that includes a lineup of new video features on Jackets TV and a series of regularly scheduled podcasts hosted by team broadcasters.

The slate of regularly scheduled Jackets TV programming will include the following:


Game Day Preview – When the Blue Jackets play at home, radio analyst Bob McElligott will provide an in-depth preview of that night's home game, including interviews with players, coaches and other special guests. (Game Day channel)

Post-Game Coverage - After each home game, Jackets TV will be in the dressing room for reaction from players and on hand for Head Coach Scott Arniel's post-game press conference. (Game Day channel)

Behind the Bench with Scott Arniel - Every Tuesday throughout the season, TV analyst Bill Davidge sits down with Scott Arniel to discuss the latest team news from the coach's perspective. (CBJ Insider channel)

One on One with Jeff Rimer - Find out what the Blue Jackets are like away from the rink when TV play-by-play man Jeff Rimer sits down with a different Blue Jackets personality every Thursday. (CBJ Insider channel)

Top Five Plays of the Week - Each Monday, Jackets TV looks back at the top goals, hits and saves from the previous week's action and narrows them down to the five best. (Players channel)


The Scott Howson Report - Bob McElligott sits down with Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson to discuss the team, players throughout the organization and a variety of issues affecting the National Hockey League. (CBJ Insider channel)

Know Your Jackets History - Jackets TV host Brittany tests players' knowledge of Blue Jackets history. (Players channel)

On the Road with the Jackets - Jackets TV will be with the team on the plane, at meals, and around some of the NHL's finest cities. (Players channel)

Season Ticket Holder Spotlight - Jackets TV will highlight several passionate, dedicated season ticket holders. (Fan channel)

Another new feature on is the addition of regular podcasts hosted by the Blue Jackets team of broadcasters. The podcast schedule, which can be found under the Multimedia section of, will include the following regular segments:


Drive to the Net - This live roundtable discussion lets fans interact with George Matthews, Bob McElligott and Mark Wyant during the second intermission of each radio game broadcast. Fans can submit their comments and opinions by e-mailing them to or via Twitter at

Blue Jackets Replay – The game night recap features highlights and post-game commentary from players and Scott Arniel.

Broadcasters Roundtable - Each month, Bob McElligott, George Matthews, Jeff Rimer and Bill Davidge will be joined by a special guest to discuss all things Blue Jackets and the latest news from around the NHL.

NHL Insider – Each Wednesday, Jeff Rimer takes a look at the latest news about the team and the NHL.

The Captain's Corner and Beyond the Boards - Bob McElligott sits down once a month for an exclusive chat with Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash. Beyond hockey talk, Bob and Rick will also talk music, movies, other sports and more. Bob will have a similar visit with another Jacket each month.

Ask The CBJ – In this segment, Bob McElligott will ask players and coaches questions that were submitted by fans via the team's Twitter feed and Facebook page.

Where Are They Now? – In celebration of the team's 10th season, "Where Are They Now?" will feature chats with former players to see what they have been up to since their time in Columbus.
