COLUMBUS, OHIO — In an effort to make it easier for fans to see exciting NHL action at Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Blue Jackets introduced today the $10 SUPER VALUE PLAN, presented by WBNS-10TV and Ticketmaster. The plan allows fans to purchase two tickets to three great weekend games against the Red Wings, Blackhawks, Sharks and more for just $10 per week. The plan is available for a limited time only with sales through December 28.
There are three packages available: Package 1 includes the following games – Friday, January 16 vs. New Jersey Devils; Saturday, February 7 vs. San Jose Sharks; and Sunday, March 15 vs. Detroit Red Wings. Package 2 features these games – Saturday, January 31 vs. Dallas Stars; Saturday, February 21 vs. Anaheim Ducks; and Saturday, April 11 vs. Minnesota Wild. Package 3 offers the following games – Friday, January 30 vs. Ottawa Senators; Friday, February 13 vs. Detroit Red Wings; and Sunday, April 5 vs. Chicago Blackhawks.
"We understand that the present state of the economy has made things difficult for a lot of people, particularly during the holiday season," said Blue Jackets Vice President of Marketing Marc Gregory. "We also believe that even in tough times, people deserve to have fun. We think the $10 SUPER VALUE PLAN will give fans the chance to see great NHL action, while offering a very flexible payment plan."
The packages available include a pair of tickets in the same seat locations for each game. Packages with seats in the Upper Bowl (Areas E and F) at Nationwide Arena are priced at $150 or $10 per week, while packages with seats in the Lower Bowl (Area C) are $300 or $20 per week. There are no additional ticket fees or postage charges.
The payment plan will work as follows. The first payment will be due at time of purchase and the payment plan will begin on Monday, December 29. Fans can choose either an automatic checking account deduction or credit card charge that will take place every Monday through March 30 (14 weeks). Fans also have the option to pay in full at the time of purchase. Packages are available on-line at www.BlueJackets.com or via phone at 1-800-NHL-COLS.
The Blue Jackets return home to Nationwide Arena to take on the Nashville Predators on Thursday. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD will begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game also will be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
