Columbus Blue Jackets Host New York Islanders for Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 7

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets will wrap up the 2011-2012 season on Saturday, Apr. 7 with a 7 p.m. contest against the New York Islanders for Fan Appreciation Night. All fans in attendance will receive a T-shirt courtesy of FOX Sports Ohio. Festivities will also include numerous prize giveaways, text-to-win opportunities and the annual “Jerseys Off Their Backs” promotion that gives everyone at the game the chance to win game-worn jerseys directly off the backs of the Blue Jackets players on the ice immediately following the game.

During the game, fans are also invited to text to win two different grand prizes. The first grand prize is a trip for two with the team, including travel for two on Blue Jackets Air, hotel and tickets to a 2012-13 game while the second grand prize is a VIP NHL All-Star Game experience that includes two tickets to the Fantasy Draft, Skills Competition, the All-Star Game and official parties.

In addition to the T-shirt giveaway, fans can purchase the Dispatch Family Value Pack starting at $25 per person which includes a game ticket, hot dog, Pepsi, popcorn, UDF ice cream cone coupon and OhioHealth Ice Haus Skate Pass.

The Blue Jackets return to action Tuesday when they visit the Phoenix Coyotes. Game time from Jobing.com Arena is set for 10 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 9:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Wheeling Island Hotel & Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, and online at BlueJackets.com.

The 2013 NHL All-Star Game is coming to Columbus Jan. 26-27, 2013.
