COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets are asking fans to join them in supporting The Salvation Army in Central Ohio’s efforts to help local families in need this holiday season by donating a coat during collections at several upcoming home games, starting Tuesday, Nov. 15 when the Jackets host the Minnesota Wild.
The Blue Jackets and WBNS 10TV are partnering again in support of the 5th annual “Jackets for Jackets” coat drive to help keep central Ohio families warm this winter. Fans are encouraged to help by bringing new or gently used jackets of all sizes to four upcoming Blue Jackets games at Nationwide Arena: Tuesday, Nov. 15 (vs. Minnesota), Monday, Nov. 21 (vs. Calgary), Friday, Nov. 25 (vs. Buffalo) and Sunday, Nov. 27 (vs. St. Louis). All of the jackets collected will be donated to the Salvation Army and then redistributed to local families in need.
