Columbus Blue Jackets, FOX Sports Ohio Announce 2008-09 HD Telecast Schedule

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and television partner FOX Sports Ohio announced October 8 that the network will present 37 of its 75 Blue Jackets telecasts in High Definition with the first HD broadcast of the 2008-09 campaign scheduled for Saturday, October 11 at 10 p.m. when the Blue Jackets visit the Phoenix Coyotes during the club's season-opening, three-game road trip. Nineteen HD telecasts will originate from Nationwide Arena along with 18 from the road. Viewers should check their cable or satellite television listings for HD broadcast channel locations.

The FOX Sports Ohio Blue Jackets broadcast team features play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer and color analyst Danny Gare. Game night coverage begins 30 minutes prior to each game and continues after the final horn with the Blue Jackets Live pre- and post-game shows. Blue Jackets radio network analyst Bill Davidge joins the television team for the pre-game edition, which is hosted by Jeff Hogan from Nationwide Arena and Jim Day from the road. The home and road post-game shows are hosted by Jim Day, who will be joined by Bill Davidge on the road.
