The Blue Jackets Foundation presents the "10th Season $10,000 Assist" in celebration of both the hockey club's 10th National Hockey League season and the Foundation’s Decade of Giving. Since its inception in 2000, the Foundation has donated more than $3 million to support a variety of local charities and causes that serve the Foundation's main pillars of giving: pediatric cancer; education; children's health and safety; and the development of youth and amateur hockey. With the "10th Season $10,000 Assist" contest, the Foundation is able to donate to an organization whose mission is either within or outside the scope of the Foundation’s standard grant-giving criteria.
