COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and Conn’s Potato Chips announced today a new multi-year partnership that makes the central Ohio-based salty snack manufacturer the first potato chip company to hold the designation as official chip of the Blue Jackets.
To mark the partnership, co-branded Blue Jackets chip bags will be available at central Ohio retail locations throughout the 2014-15 season and Conn’s products will be on sale at Nationwide Arena and all OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks.
The “Pros and Conn’s” in-market promotion invites parents to enter to win the chance for their child to be on the ice alongside the Blue Jackets players during the performance of the national anthem.
“We’re very happy to welcome another hometown company to our family of partners and we look forward to showcasing the new official chip of the Columbus Blue Jackets,” said A.J. Poole, Blue Jackets Vice President of Corporate Development.
“The Conn's family is very excited that our new partnership makes Conn’s the first official chip of the Columbus Blue Jackets,” added Jon George, Vice President of Conn’s. “We’re very proud to be associated with Ohio’s hockey team and their loyal and enthusiastic fans.”
In addition to the in-market promotions, the partnership also encompasses broadcast inventory and in-arena messaging.
