by Blue Jackets Staff / Columbus Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and the Central Ohio Toyota Dealers announced May 22 that the two parties have agreed to terms on a three-year corporate partnership deal that will extend through the 2010-11 National Hockey League season. The current deal expands a corporate partner relationship between the Blue Jackets and Toyota that began prior to the 2005-06 season.

The partnership is highlighted by the naming rights to the Toyota Tundra Tower inside Nationwide Arena. One of the arena's unique features is a pair of 80-foot towers that anchor the western end of the facility – The Toyota Tundra Tower and the Dispatch Media Group Party Tower. Each tower includes four levels of luxurious suite-style seating for groups of 24 or 48 people. Services include theater-style seating, premium catered food, fully furnished lounge with wet bar, specialized guest services attendant and private restroom.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to extend our partnership with Toyota and the Central Ohio Toyota Dealers for the next three seasons," said Blue Jackets Vice President of Corporate Development Paul D'Aiuto. "The new Toyota Tundra Tower and the upper fascia wrap will provide a new level of visibility for the Toyota brand at Nationwide Arena and the Tundra Tower will allow our fans the opportunity to experience Toyota's 'Moving Forward' concepts while attending events in its unique, fan-friendly environment."

The current partnership between the Blue Jackets and the Central Ohio Toyota Dealers also includes signage around the upper level fascia inside the Nationwide Arena bowl, as well as a pair of dasherboard advertisements.

"Toyota and the Central Ohio Toyota Dealers are proud to continue their relationship with the Blue Jackets," the company said in a statement. "It is a great opportunity for continued involvement in the Columbus community and it provides Toyota with a showcase for its extensive lineup of cars, trucks, SUVs and hybrid models."
