Columbus Blue Jackets Assign G Allen York to the AHL's Springfield Falcons

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned goaltender Allen York to the Springfield Falcons, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced March 14.

York, 22, has appeared in four games with the Blue Jackets this season, going 0-1-0 with a 3.53 goals-against average and .878 save percentage. He made his NHL debut against Detroit on October 25 and made his first NHL start at Chicago on October 29. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.84 goals-against average and .871 save percentage in five games with Springfield, as well as posting a 4-4-1 mark with a 3.28 GAA and .892 SV% in 11 games with the ECHL’s Chicago Express.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Rexall Place is set for 10 p.m. ET.
