Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Forward Alexandre Picard to Syracuse (AHL)

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Alexandre Picard to the Syracuse Crunch, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.

Picard, 21, has scored five goals and four assists for nine points with 22 penalty minutes in 19 games with Syracuse and has appeared in seven games with Columbus this season. He collected 14 penalty minutes in 18 games with Columbus in 2005-06. He also tallied 15-15-30 and 52 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games with Syracuse during his rookie season.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Saturday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET with live coverage on FSN Ohio beginning with the IceBreaker pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. Coverage also includes the Blue Jackets Ice Cap post-game show immediately following the game. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
