COLUMBUS, OHIO – In conjunction with Nationwide’s involvement as title sponsor of the Nationwide Tour, the official proving ground of the PGA TOUR, the Columbus Blue Jackets announce "Nationwide Nights presents Slap Shots and Golf Shots" for fans attending the Saturday, March 22 game against the Detroit Red Wings. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m.
To kick off the night, the first 10,000 fans in the building will receive a Blue Jackets golf visor compliments of Nationwide. In addition, fans can test their putting skills on the nine-hole mini golf course and receive a Nationwide Tour pin flag as a keepsake while supplies last. Other attractions include the interactive GolfTec Swing Station and the opportunity to talk to representatives about the Nationwide Tour, including one of the Tour's premier events, the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational. The 2008 edition will be played July 24-27 at The Ohio State University Golf Club.
To cap off the night, fans are invited to lace up the skates for a post-game skate on the main ice. Free skate rental will be available.
