Columbus Blue Jackets and Tim Hortons Introduce Stinger Donut

COLUMBUS, OHIO — As the Blue Jackets "March to the Playoffs," team partner Tim Hortons March 18 introduced the Stinger Donut, a specially-themed vanilla dip donut adorned with colorful sprinkles. Starting today, the Stinger Donut is available in all central Ohio Tim Hortons stores through the end of the Blue Jackets current season. The Stinger Donut will be back on shelves at the start of the 2009-2010 campaign.

Fans can meet Stinger and try the new specialty donut at the following Tim Hortons locations this week:

Thursday, March 19
7:30-8:30a.m. - 7493 Sawmill Road (Dublin)
9-10 a.m. - 4740 Reed Road, Suite 121 (Upper Arlington)

Friday, March 20
7-8 a.m. - 4765 W. Broad Street (Columbus)
9-10 a.m. - 3965 E. Broad Street (Whitehall)

Saturday, March 21
9-10 a.m. - 941 Coshocton Avenue (Mt. Vernon)


In addition, the Blue Jackets and Tim Hortons invite fans to celebrate a Jackets victory at home with a free donut. The day following a win at Nationwide Arena, fans may show their game ticket at participating central Ohio Tim Hortons stores to receive one free donut with the purchase of a coffee. Tim Hortons is the official coffee of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Face-off at Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD will begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game also will be broadcast live on the Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM/Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM/CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for 2008-09 regular season home games are on sale at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers. Fans can purchase tickets by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at and Season tickets for 2009-10 starting at $18 per game are also on sale.
