COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Raffi Torres off Injured Reserve, General Manager Scott Howson announced November 19.
Torres, who was injured against Detroit on November 11, has collected 8-1-9 and 10 penalty minutes in 17 games this season. He ranks second on the club in goals, while his four power play goals rank tied for 14th in the NHL. In his first season with the Blue Jackets in 2008-09, he notched 12-8-20 and 23 penalty minutes in 51 games. The Toronto, Ontario native has tallied 87-68-155, 288 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +2 in 375 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and New York Islanders.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Dallas Stars. Game time from American Airlines Center is 8:30 p.m. ET.
