COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Rick Nash off Injured Reserve, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Nash is expected to be in the lineup for tonight’s game at Nashville.
Nash, who missed the past five games, ranks second on the club with 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points and leads the team with seven power play goals. The 2004 “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner has tallied 102-78-180 and 244 penalty minutes in 247 career NHL games.
The Brampton, Ontario, native was named to the Western Conference team for the 2007 National Hockey League All-Star Game to be played at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The 2007 NHL All-Star Celebration will feature live broadcasts of the Dodge Nitro/NHL SuperSkills event on Tuesday, Jan. 23, and the NHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, Jan. 24 on VERSUS (United States) and CBC and RDS (Canada) at 8 p.m. ET.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Nashville Predators. Game time is set for 8 p.m. with live coverage on FSN Ohio beginning with the Ice Breaker pre-game show at 7:30 p.m. Coverage also includes the Blue Jackets Ice Cap post-game show immediately following the game.
