The quest for the Memorial Cup came to a close over the weekend with the Quebec Remparts defeating the host Moncton Wildcats 6-2 in front of 7,160 fans on Sunday night.

Alexander Radulov led Quebec with 2-3-5 in the championship game, a night after he was named the CHL Player of the Year.

Blue Jackets' prospect Philippe Dupuis assisted on both Moncton goals and finished with an even plus-minus rating, while teammate and CBJ prospect Adam Pineault finished the championship game with a plus-1 rating.

Gilbert Brule, the Blue Jackets' 2005 first round pick, finished as the tournament's scoring leader with 6-6-12 with 18 PIM in five games for the Vancouver Giants.

Brule faced off against Dupuis, Pineault and the Wildcats in the semifinals on Friday with Moncton netting a 3-1 victory. Brule scored the lone goal for the Giants to knot the score at 1-1, but Moncton proved to be too much. Dupuis and Pinneault both added 0-1-1 and were plus-1 in the win.

Dupuis finished third in tournament scoring with 2-5-7 and 4 PIM in five games, while Pineault added 1-2-3 and 4 PIM in five games. Blue Jackets prospect Trevor Hendrikx tied for the team lead in points with 0-3-3 and 8 PIM in four games for the Peterborough Petes.
