·         Dating back to last season the Blue Jackets are 22-10-5 in their last 37 games.

·         After opening the season playing five of their first seven games on the road, Sunday’s game vs. Vancouver began a stretch that has the Jackets playing eight-of-nine at Nationwide Arena through Nov. 9.

·         Columbus ranks third in the Eastern Conference with a team face-off winning pct. of 51.5.

·         The Blue Jackets are 28-0-0 when leading a game after two periods under head coach Todd Richards.

·         Columbus ranks fifth in the Eastern Conference with a home ice penalty kill efficiency rate of 90.0%.



·         C Ryan Johansen has tallied four points (2-2-4) in his last three games. He has also won 50 of his last 85 face-off attempts (59%) and is now T-24th in the NHL with a 53.9 FO% this season.

·         D Jack Johnson is currently T-1st in the NHL in power play goals by a defenseman (2).

·         C Brandon Dubinsky and C/LW Derek MacKenzie are both T-17th among all NHL forwards with 23 hits apiece.

·         D Ryan Murray is tied for fifth place among rookie NHL defensemen in blocked shots (14) and ranks ninth among freshman blueliners in even-strength TOI/game (15:27).

·         C/RW Boone Jenner scored his first two NHL goals on Oct. 17 at Montreal (Carey Price), becoming the second player in club history to score his first two NHL goals in the same game – Kris Russell on Jan. 22, 2008 at Dallas (Mike Smith).

·         G Curtis McElhinney made 37 saves to beat Vancouver 3-1 on Oct. 20 to record his first NHL win since Dec. 31, 2011 at Minnesota (withPhoenix).

·         LW Marian Gaborik leads the club in scoring with 3-5-8 and has picked up a point in six of the seven games he’s played this season.



Friday, Oct. 25 vs. Toronto – Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by OhioHealth; all fans in attendance will receive free cheer cards courtesy of OhioHealth.  During the game, several pediatric cancer heroes will be honored by participating in a variety of in-game experiences including an on-ice, pre-game introduction alongside the Blue Jackets.  In addition, this night will also celebrate the work of cancer care providers as select OhioHealth physicians will receive special in-game recognition.  The Blue Jackets Foundation also will host several themed fundraisers to benefit its Hats For Heroes program and the fight against pediatric cancer:


Purple Hockey Fights Cancer T-shirt Sale & Hats For Heroes Hats:  T-shirts will be available for purchase at the Foundation kiosk while supplies last.  Fans can also purchase the 2013-14 edition Hats For Heroes hats, which will be available at all FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line locations in the arena on this night only. Thanks to donations by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9 and Halo Branded Solutions, 100% of the hat sales will directly benefit Hats For Heroes.


Purple Jersey Auction (October 22 & 25):  Players will wear purple jerseys during pre-game warm-ups on Friday, October 25.  The complete set of authentic worn jerseys will be individually autographed by the respective players and available for bidding in the silent auction located on the arena’s Bud Light Terrace during the games on Tuesday, October 22 and Friday, October 25.  All jerseys will have a starting bid of$150 with bids being accepted through the end of the second intermission of the October 25 game.
