NEWS & NOTES
•Columbus posted a 10-1-1 record in December, including 6-1-1 at home and 4-0-0 on the road.

•December was the winningest month (.875) in club history, topping March 2013 (10-2-4, .750).

•The Blue Jackets, who play nine of 13 January games on the road, are 5-1-0 in their last six road contests.

•The Jackets boast the second-best power play in the NHL at 24.0 pct. (31-of-129), trailing only St. Louis (33-of-135, 24.4 pct.).

•Columbus is 12-3-3 in one-goal games, which ranks fourth-T in winning percentage (.667) and sixth-T in wins in the NHL.

•The Blue Jackets have gone 17-4-3 when tied or leading after two periods of play.

•Through the first 20 home games this season, the Jackets are averaging 15,570 fans per game, which is a 14.4 pct. increase from the same time last season (13,608).

•Columbus has racked up 244 man games lost to injury through its first 34 games and is on pace to finish the season with 541. The club has topped the 300-man games lost mark just twice in franchise history – 411 in 2011-12 and 343 in 2008-09.

PLAYER NOTES
•G Sergei Bobrovsky was named the NHL’s Third Star for the month of December (9-1-1, 2.13 GAA, .937 SV%, 1 SO), becoming the first player in CBJ history to earn an NHL monthly honor twice (Third Star of March 2013).

•C Brandon Dubinsky has collected 2-5-7 and is +6 in 11 games this season, is riding a four-game point streak (2-5-7) and scored the 100th and 101st goals of his NHL career at Colorado on Jan. 4.

•C Ryan Johansen has a point in seven-straight games (3-4-7), including goals in three-straight following an 11-game goal drought.

•D David Savard has scored seven goals this season, including three game-winners. He has the GWG in the club’s last two wins – Dec. 31 vs. Minnesota and Jan. 4 at Colorado.

•LW Nick Foligno, who is tied for ninth in the NHL with 17 goals and 19th with 35 points, is riding a four-game point streak (1-4-5). He signed a six-year contract extension with Columbus just prior to playing in his 500th career NHL game vs. Minnesota on Dec. 31, collecting an assist for his 100th point as a Blue Jacket in the game.

•D Fedor Tyutin, who should play in his 700th NHL game at Dallas on Tuesday, scored his first goal of 2013-14 at Arizona on Jan. 3.
