NEWS & NOTES
•Columbus has posted a 13-6-1 record since the beginning of December, including a 7-2-0 mark on the road.

•Saturday’s 3-1 win at Boston began a stretch that has the Blue Jackets playing five-of-six games on the road.

•The Jackets boast the third-best power play in the NHL at 24.7 pct. (36-of-146), which would shatter the club record of 19.3 pct. (54-of-280/10th in NHL) set last season.

•Columbus has racked up 278 man games lost to injury through its first 43 games and is on pace to finish the season with 530. The club has topped the 300-man games lost mark just twice in franchise history – 411 in 2011-12 and 343 in 2008-09.

PLAYER NOTES
•C Ryan Johansen has a point in 13-straight games (8-8-16) dating back to Dec. 18 vs. Washington, which is a franchise record and the longest streak in the NHL this season. He is also the only player in the NHL in 2014-15 with two 10-game point streaks as he collected 5-8-13 in 10-straight from Oct. 9-31. The first-time All-Star ranks 13th-T in the NHL in points with 17-26-43 in 43 games.

•All-Star LW Nick Foligno had a career-best eight-game point streak (2-9-11) snapped vs. the NY Rangers on Jan. 16.

•D Kevin Connauton has collected 5-4-9 in his last 13 games to give him 7-6-13 (and three game-winning goals) in 31 outings.

•LW Matt Calvert scored two goals, including the game-winner, at Boston on Jan. 17 to register his first multi-goal game since a hat trick vs. Phoenix on Feb. 25, 2011.

•LW Scott Hartnell, who is nine games shy of 1,000 in his NHL career, has picked up 1-6-7 in his last seven games.

•G Curtis McElhinney is 3-0-0 with a 1.85 goals-against average and .937 save percentage in his last four appearances in net. He made a personal season-high 34 saves in a 3-1 win at Boston on Jan. 17.

•RW Josh Anderson made his NHL debut vs. NY Rangers on Jan. 16, registering three hits in 11:21 TOI.

The Blue Jackets and the city of Columbus host the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend this weekend. Official NHL activities include NHL Fan FairTM from Friday through Sunday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, the 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy DraftTM on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Greater Columbus Convention Center; the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Skills CompetitionTM on Saturday at 7 p.m. and 60th NHL All-Star Game on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Nationwide Arena. Blue Jackets LW Nick Foligno will serve as the captain of the home team (Team Foligno), while Columbus teammates C Ryan Johansen and G Sergei Bobrovsky will also participate. ALL-STAR WINTER PARK, PRESENTED BY WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES, OPENS THURSDAY
Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star Winter Park, presented by Worthington Industries, will open on Thursday at 10 a.m. and be the outdoor entertainment hub throughout All-Star Weekend. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Rink is open now and offers daily public skating sessions through Sunday. Admission to skate is $5 and includes skate rental. The signature feature of Winter Park is the Snow Slide, presented by Huntington, which stands 34-feet at its peak and spans 85-feet with a run off of an additional 175-feet along Nationwide Blvd. The three-lane slide features three access points of varying height and the cost is $2 per ride. In addition, fans can enjoy live entertainment day and night at the Dispatch Media Group Hockey House, visit the Blue Jackets Replica Locker Room presented by AEP as part of the Kids Zone and enjoy a variety of food and beverage offerings and more. NHL FAN FAIR OPENS FRIDAY
The NHL will transform the Greater Columbus Convention Center into 200,000 square feet of interactive hockey fun for NHL Fan FairTM from January 23-25. As the official fan festival of the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend, NHL Fan FairTM will offer hockey fans of all ages three days of family-friendly interactive games and attractions, special appearances, trophy and memorabilia displays, live TV and radio broadcasts, music, food and dozens of other dynamic activities.
