Jacob Hansen was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 3rd round (68th overall) in 2007.

In 2009-10, Hansen played in 38 games for the Minnesota Gophers of the WCHA. He scored 7-5-12 with 20 penalty minutes.

In 2008-09, Hansen played in 33 games for the Minnesota and scored 2-5-7 with 38 penalty minutes.

In 2007-08, Hansen played in 60 games for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL. He scored 31-27-58 with 57 penalty minutes. In three playoff games, he recorded 1-0-1.

Nick Sucharski was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 5th round (136th overall) in 2006.

In 2009-10, Sucharski played in 37 games for the Michigan State Spartans of the CCHA. He scored 9-10-19 and 47 penalty minutes.

In 2008-09, Sucharski played in six games for the Spartans and scored 0-1-1 and six penalty minutes before his season was ended with an injury in November.

In 2007-08, Sucharski played in 41 games for Michigan State and scored 9-17-26 and 32 penalty minutes. In 2006-07, he played in 41 games and scored 9-15-24 and 32 penalty minutes. In 2005-06, Sucharski played in 36 games as a freshman and scored 2-5-7 and 18 penalty minutes.
