/ Columbus Blue Jackets
Columbus Children’s Hospital Foundation Sibling Support Program presented by the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation – Launched in January 2005 with a $60,000 grant funded by the Foundation’s Hats For Heroes program, the Sibling Support program offers the siblings of pediatric cancer patients a forum in which to discuss and deal with physical and emotional changes in the family through a six-week course.
The basis for the development of the program is rooted in research that childhood cancer is among the leading cause of illness-related deaths among children and that this substantial emotional, physical and social impact on the siblings of these sick children.
This is the first class to graduate from the program, as Stinger, staff and some of the kids posed for pictures on Tuesday.
