EDITOR'S NOTE: This is our weekly look around the #CBJ community to see what's being talked about, debated, and highlighted by the greatest fans in the National Hockey League. Have a suggestion or submission for next week's edition? Hit up @RobMixer on Twitter and let him know.
Welcome to the second weekly edition of the Community Spotlight on BlueJackets.com
. As I surmised, this week's roundup went much smoother than the first go-round but today's wasn't preceded by a three overtime playoff game.
Oh, and hopefully everyone enjoyed (or is currently enjoying) Front Street Friday on the plaza with Blue Jackets forward Mark Letestu. Great weather day for it!
Let's reiterate last week's disclaimer one more tieme: my technology isn't always 100 percent reliable and some things fall through the cracks. We'll make this bigger and better with each passing week, taking a look at what our most active fans are talking about on social media. Don't be shy about telling me if I've missed something; if we don't catch it this week, send me a tweet and it'll be in our next edition.
Alright, we're set. Here's what's been going on over the last week. JD & RIMER CO-HOST SUNDAY MORNING SKATE
We announced this yesterday on BlueJackets.com, but I think this will be pretty cool and something fans won't want to miss. Jeff Rimer and John Davidson - who have a radio partnership history from their "Inside the NHL" days - will team up to host the Sunday Morning Skate this week on 97.1 The Fan in Columbus. They'll be in-studio for the full hour
talking hockey, probably telling a joke or two about the other and setting the table for what's to come at the NHL Draft and beyond. Set your reminders now!#BOB4VEZINA VIEWING PARTY - TOMORROW NIGHT!
We're getting together and throwing a party to celebrate Sergei Bobrovsky's nomination for the Vezina Trophy - and you're all invited. Yes, everyone. Come on out to the Buffalo Wild Wings location in Grandview (on Fifth Avenue) and be sure to get there early. The party officially starts at 8 p.m. and there will be multiple giveaways throughout the night
and a grand prize drawing at the end. See you there!
