#CBJ Best of the Web: Nov. 6

by Staff / Columbus Blue Jackets

After winning the first two games of the California road trip, first in San Jose and last night in Los Angeles, the Blue Jackets are now looking to win their third straight tonight in Anaheim.

The team appears to be moving in the right direction, one step at a time, with new bench boss John Tortorella.

But, admittedly, there's still a ways to go, and a lot of things for fans and media members a like to discuss-- and the internet (as you'd expect) has been all over it.

To kick things off, let's start with Buckey State Hockey's Goal Breakdown. This week focuses on how switches get goals and features a Washington Capitals goal and a Scott Hartnell Blue Jackets goal.

Over at The Hockey Writers, Mark Scheig writes about how patience is required with these Blue Jackets.

And, while you're on the site, check out Greg Thornberry's piece on how the west coast trip provided a much needed respite for the Columbus hockey team.

Here's a nice take on last night's game in Los Angeles from The Cannon. Here's a few quick hits from their piece:

Standard Bearers
-Brandon Dubinsky was all over the ice.  He played over 18 minutes with a 1-1-2 line and a couple hits.

-Nick Foligno tried to get his net started with a heck of a fight.  He got rewarded on the second goal by just throwing the puck to the net.

-William Karlsson picked up a secondary assist on the third goal.  Wild Bill seems to be making plays in every zone nearly every game.  This guy looks like he'll be good.

-Bob was back to being BOB.  He had some outstanding saves and got some help from his friends, the post and crossbar.  He was seeing the pucks better and looked much more confident.

That's it for now. As always, check back in next Friday for another Best of the Web recap.
