Tick-tock, tick-tock, the countdown to All-Star Weekend continues!

The Blue Jackets’ are getting set to host the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, and the atmosphere in and around Nationwide Arena is taking shape. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Rink is open to the public at All-Star Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries and construction of the Snow Slide presented by Huntington is underway, expected to be open for use on Thursday. Fans are excited for on-ice action as well, with three Jackets featured in the All-Star lineup and one earning another honor, captain of the home team.

Let's see how the 5th Line is gearing up for All-Star hockey in Columbus!

The Cannon gets us started with a great collection of All-Star materials. First off, we have an interesting history lesson on the All-Star Games origins and changes since the first showcase. The Cannon also gives us a brief overview of Columbus' three All-Stars- Ryan Johansen, Nick Foligno, and Sergei Bobrovsky- and how they got to this point.

Not only was Foligno selected to his first All-Star Game, but he was also honored as the captain for the home squad.  Union and Blue gave their thoughts on the selection.

On the ice, Union and Blue offered five predictions for the Blue Jackets in the season's second half.

With Todd Richards now heading the Columbus bench for three years, the Hockey Writers gave an overview of the Blue Jackets under his guidance.

Finally, a video was released this week by Gatorade, that showed several NHL players, including Jackets' forward Scott Hartnell, trying their hand at sledge hockey. It's an awesome video!
