Blue Jackets right wing Cam Atkinson took part in last week's development camp at the OhioHealth Ice Haus, but this time around, he was in a leadership role along with Ryan Johansen. The 2012 camp was Atkinson's fourth with the Blue Jackets and he was a valuable resource for the many Blue Jackets prospects either in town for the first time, or getting prepared to make the jump to the National Hockey League.
Atkinson agreed to let JacketsTV mic him up for one of the on-ice workouts during development camp, and we were able to get some really good footage and insight from the 23-year-old sniper. Not only do we catch him encouraging some of his fellow players and giving instruction during the drills, but he's also guilty of chirping Michigan Wolverine Kevin Lynch as the opposing team completed its "Finnish Worm" exercise.
