COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets invite fans to share the excitement of the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft at the team’s annual NHL Draft Party and Open House, presented by Coldwell Banker King Thompson, on Friday, June 26. New this year, the party will take place outside Nationwide Arena on the Front Street plaza. The party starts at 5 p.m. with live Draft coverage from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida set to begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
Fans are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and enjoy the tailgate atmosphere complete with music, food and drinks, kids’ activities and more.
Blue Jackets in-arena host Mike Todd and announcer Greg Murray will host the festivities which will include special appearances by Blue Jackets players Boone Jenner and the club’s 2014 first-round pick Sonny Milano. In conjunction with the NBC Sports Network telecast of the Draft shown on a massive video screen in front of Nationwide Arena, the Blue Jackets broadcast team will be providing comprehensive coverage of the club’s activities, including interviews with draft picks and team personnel. FOX Sports Ohio announcer Jeff Rimer, color analyst Jody Shelley, and Blue Jackets Radio Network announcer Bob McElligott will anchor the coverage live from south Florida.

As part of the Open House, fans interested in purchasing a 2015-16 ticket plan will have the opportunity to tour potential seat locations inside Nationwide Arena.
