Blue Jackets Windy City Update

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

January 24

To quote Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock after this mornings pre-game skate here in Chicago... "We need a big win after a big win"... Hitch referring to the Jackets third period come from behind win in Dallas Tuesday night. Hitch is looking for the team to leave it all on the ice tonight at the United Center and then enjoy the four day All-Star break before their next game Tuesday night at Nationwide against Wayne Gretzky's Phoenix Coyotes.

Pascal Leclaire goes again tonight after a brilliant outing in Dallas in which he kept the Blue Jackets in the contest before the team got the offense going! He will be opposed by the 'Hawks Nikolai Khabibulin who has sat out Chicago's last five games after losing seven of his previous eight appearances.

The only lineup change tonight is Curtis Glencross reinserted into tonight's game in place of Dan Fritsche who has a back muscle problem after a nasty end boards collision in Dallas. Fritsche attempted to skate this morning.

Don't forget the Blue Jackets all star sale during the break... "A steal of a deal" and hope to see you Tuesday night at Nationwide. The team has really worked hard on this extended five game trip and the guys would be happy to see a big crowd on their return before hitting the road again after playing the next three of four at home. After that the Jackets play seven of nine on the road!!
