•Columbus has killed off all 11 of their opponents’ power play chances on the season and is one of two teams (Detroit) in the NHL to kill off 100% of their opponents’ chances. The Blue Jackets had never killed off all of their opponents’ chances in more than three straight games to start a season (2007-08).

•The Blue Jackets have recorded seven goals in the second period, tied for second most in the NHL (Montreal & Calgary) and one goal behind league leader, San Jose.

•The Jackets have won 55% of their face-offs this season, trailing only the Carolina Hurricanes’ 59.1 winning percentage for the league lead.

•Columbus goaltenders have stopped 19-of-25 penalty shots in franchise history after G Curtis McElhinney denied Ottawa’s Mike Hoffman on a first period penalty shot on Saturday.

•C Ryan Johansen is T-8th in the NHL in points (3-4-7) and has recorded points in all five games this season. The five-game point streak is tied for third longest in his career (career best: nine games from Nov. 29-Dec. 16, 2013). Johansen has recorded points in 10 straight regular season games dating back to Apr. 6, 2014 (6-9-15).

•LW Nick Foligno (2-5-7) has set a new career high with assists in all five games this season. He had previously recorded assists in four straight games from Mar. 21-28, 2009.

•RW Cam Atkinson tied a career high with points in four straight games to start the season (3-2-5). He previously set his career best with points in four straight games from Apr. 1-6, 2014.

•C Ryan Johansen (61% - 9th) and C Mark Letestu (59.8% - 10th) sit among the top-10 in the NHL in faceoff win percentage (skaters that have taken at least 39 draws).
