Mar. 9 –
Added C Derek MacKenzie and RW Maksim Mayorov to the roster on emergency recall from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL).

Second-year RW Jakub Voracek has collected points in eight of his last 10 games, collecting 3-9-12 during that span that includes a career-best six-game points streak from Feb. 6-Mar. 6 (1-7-8). He scored his 11th goal of the season vs. St. Louis on Mar. 13 to give him 2-2-4 in three games since being shutout at Los Angeles on Mar. 8. He has collected 11-29-40 in 68 games this season, surpassing the 9-29-38 he tallied in 80 games as a rookie in 2008-09.

LW R.J. Umberger scored his 20th goal of the season vs. Atlanta on Mar. 11 to post the third 20-goal campaign of his six-year NHL career and his second in as many seasons as a Blue Jacket. He has tallied 5-10-15 in his last 20 games to raise his season totals to 20-25-45 in 69 games. He has notched 16-18-34 in his last 49 games after being held to 4-7-11 in the first 20 games of the season. He is five points shy of the career-high 17-33-50 he notched with Philadelphia in 2007-08 and six goals shy of the 26 he scored with Columbus a year ago.

G Mathieu Garon has posted a 7-4-1 mark with a 2.75 GAA, .908 SV% and one shutout in his last 13 appearances, including 12 starts and is 11-9-4 with a 2.78 GAA, .905 SV% and two shutouts in 31 games this season. He is 5-0-3 with a 1.99 GAA, .935 SV% and one shutout in nine appearances at Nationwide Arena. Garon has gone 2-0-1 with a 2.35 GAA and .929 SV% in his last four games dating to Feb. 14 with wins in each of his last two outings.

The Blue Jackets have gone 12-11-2 since Jan. 7 and are 5-4-2 under interim head coach Claude Noel… With a 2-1 win over Atlanta on Mar. 11, Columbus improved to 13-0-2 vs. the Southeast Division since a 5-2 loss vs. Florida on Nov. 21, 2007… The Jackets currently rank ninth in the NHL on the power play (19.4 pct.) and are 15th in penalty killing (81.9 pct.)… LW Kristian Huselius, who has missed three of the past four games due to injury, has collected 7-16-23 in his last 23 games… D Fedor Tyutin has notched 1-3-4 in his last four games and is expected to play in his 400th career NHL game vs. Edmonton on Monday… C Derick Brassard has collected 1-5-6 in his last eight games… C Antoine Vermette collected his 12th multi-point game of the season with 1-2-3 at Anaheim on Mar. 9, which matches his career high.
