TEAM NOTES

Blue Jackets in the Western Conference Standings: With 73 points in 70 games, Columbus stands in fourth place in the Central Division and 12th in the Western Conference. The Jackets trail eighth place Vancouver by five points and are seven points behind sixth place Calgary and seventh place Colorado in the conference standings.

Jackets Closing in on Several Franchise Records: With 12 regular season games remaining, the Blue Jackets are 31-28-11 (73 pts.) and are just one point shy of matching the franchise record for points in a season of 74 (35-43-4 in 2005-06). With a 14-18-4 road record (32 pts.), Columbus is one point shy of tying the franchise mark of 33 (15-23-3, 2006-07). The Jackets, who are 17-10-7 (41 pts.) at home, are also in position to set franchise records for wins (35 in 2005-06), home wins and points (20-14-7, 47 pts. in 2002-03).

Looking to Regain Home Ice Advantage: Columbus has posted a 7-4-2 road record since Jan. 22 and is looking to return to form on home ice. Last Sunday’s 5-3 win vs. Tampa Bay snapped a season-high seven-game winless streak at Nationwide Arena (0-4-3). Columbus will try to use that win as a catalyst as the club plays six of its next eight games on home ice before finishing the regular season by playing three-of-four on the road.

He is six goals and seven assists shy of matching his career highs in both of those categories. He currently ranks seventh in the NHL in goals and is tied for fifth with four shorthanded goals, which is tied for the most in club history (David Vyborny, 2003-04).

Klesla Ties Club Record, Approaches 400th Game: D Rostislav Klesla set a career high and tied the franchise record for highest plus/minus rating in a game when he was +4 vs. Tampa Bay on Mar. 10. It was the first time this season and fifth in franchise history a player was +4 in a game… He also enters this week's action two games shy of 400 in his NHL career… Only one other player has appeared in 400 games as a Blue Jacket – David Vyborny, 537.
