Mar. 16, 2001 – Tyler Wright scored even-strength (game-winner), power play and shorthanded (empty net) goals to collect his first career hat trick and lead the Blue Jackets to a 3-0 win over the Atlanta Thrashers at Philips Arena.

Mar. 11 – Assigned C Kyle Wilson to the Springfield Falcons (AHL)… Mar. 9 – Activated C Derick Brassard off Injured Reserve… INJURY REPORT: LW Kristian Huselius (Feb. 18 at Chicago) is day-to-day… D Marc Methot (Mar. 11 vs. Los Angeles) is day-to-day… D Anton Stralman (Feb. 27 at Nashville) is expected to miss three to four weeks… C Andrew Murray (Mar. 3 at Edmonton) is out indefinitely… RW Chris Clark (Mar. 12 at Carolina) is expected to miss three to four weeks. Mar. 7 – at St. Louis 5, COLUMBUS 4 (SO):
Andy MacDonald scored two goals and Alex Steen netted the shootout game-winner as the Blues earned the extra point. The teams combined for six goals, 24 shots and 30 penalty minutes in the first period as the Jackets took a 3-1 lead only to see the Blues score the game’s next three goals to go ahead 4-3. Derek MacKenzie's goal midway through the second tied the game at 4-4 before a scoreless third period and overtime… Mar. 9 – St. Louis 4, at COLUMBUS 3 (OT): Chris Stewart scored the tying goal at 6:23 of the third period and the game-winner 54 seconds into overtime to lead the Blues to the comeback win. Columbus took a 3-0 lead on second period goals by Jakub Voracek, R.J. Umberger and Derek MacKenzie before St. Louis battled back with a goal in the second and two in the third to force overtime… Mar. 11 – Los Angeles 4, at COLUMBUS 2: Anze Kopitar collected a hat trick and Jason Williams scored with 1:34 left in the third period as the Kings snapped the Jackets' five-game regulation unbeaten streak at home. Scottie Upshall and Derick Brassard scored goals for Columbus, which outshot LA 34 to 22 in the game, including 14 to 3 in the third period… Mar. 12 – COLUMBUS 3, at Carolina 2: Derek MacKenzie scored a pair of goals and Steve Mason made 29 saves as the Blue Jackets snapped a seven-game winless streak (0-4-3). Samuel Pahlsson's shorthanded goal gave Columbus a 1-0 lead after one period and MacKenzie pushed the lead to 2-0 heading into the third period. Jeff Skinner's goal at 9:16 spoiled the shutout bid. The Jackets killed off all nine Carolina power play attempts, including three 5-on-3 efforts.

The Blue Jackets enter the week with 73 pts. through 68 games and rank 12th in the Western Conference standings. The club is nine points out of sixth place and eight points out of eighth. Through games played on Sunday, Mar. 13, the teams ahead of Columbus are: 1) Vancouver, 99 pts. (70 GP)… 2) Detroit, 90 pts. (69 GP)… 3) San Jose, 86 pts. (69 GP)… 4) Los Angeles, 83 pts. The Blue Jackets improved to 10-2-1 against the Eastern Conference this season with last Saturday's 3-2 win at Carolina. The club is 4-1-0 vs. the Atlantic Division, 3-1-0 vs. the Northeast and 3-0-1 vs. the Southeast. Since the start of the 2007-08 season, Columbus has gone 37-15-7 against Eastern Conference clubs, including a 19-6-3 mark at Nationwide Arena. The Jackets are 7-7-4 vs. the Atlantic, 14-5-1 vs. the Northeast and 17-2-3 vs. the Southeast since 2007.

Columbus has gone 4-2-2 in its last eight games at Nationwide Arena. During that span, the club has outscored its opponents 26 (3.25) to 22 (2.75) and has a 254 (31.8) to 215 (26.9) advantage in shots on goal. The club has also dominated special teams play, converting 8-of-32 power play chances (25.0 pct.) and successfully killing off all 25-of-26 opponent power plays (96.2 pct.).

The Blue Jackets have gone 12-7-6 in their last 25 games, 9-5-4 in their last 18… Columbus snapped a seven-game winless streak (0-4-3) in last Saturday’s 3-2 win at Carolina… With a 16-13-6 record through 35 road games this season, the Jackets have tied the club record for road wins in a season set in 2008-09 (16-18-7)… The Jackets’ 9-of-9 penalty killing performance at Carolina last Saturday matched the best in franchise history. It was the fourth time the club killed off nine opponent power plays with three of those coming on the road… The Blue Jackets penalty killers have climbed to 20th in the NHL (81.1 pct.) and are sixth-best in the league at home (86.7 pct.)… Columbus has 14 games remaining in the regular season – eight at home and six on the road.

LW Scottie Upshall has scored goals in three of the seven games he’s played since joining the Blue Jackets… D Kris Russell has picked up 2-7-9 in his last 12 games… LW Matt Calvert ranks 11th in rookie goal scoring and fifth among Western Conference rookies with 11 in just 28 games… D Grant Clitsome ranks seventh among NHL rookie defensemen in scoring with 3-14-17 in 25 games, while his .680 points per game is tops among all first-year blueliners and third among all rookies with at least 20 games played… C Derick Brassard picked up 1-1-2 in his first three games after missing eight-straight due to injury… LW Ethan Moreau is four games shy of 900 in his NHL career (146-137-283 and 1,090 PIM in 896 games)… C Derek MacKenzie has registered 6-5-11 in his last 14 games, including 4-1-5 in his last five. He collected his first NHL multi-goal game with two at Carolina on Mar. 12… RW Jakub Voracek has tallied 5-8-13 in the last 16 games.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation is hosting a special auction featuring a full team set of authentic, green practice jerseys adorned with a Shamrock patch and Irish-themed nameplates unique to each player. The players wore the jerseys during pre-game warm-ups prior to the Mar. 9 game vs. St. Louis and fans may bid on them at the display located on the main concourse behind section 115 during the following home games – Mar. 11 vs. Los Angeles, Mar. 15 vs. Boston and Mar. 17 vs. Detroit. Bids start at $150 and will be accepted through the end of the second intermission of the March 17 game. Proceeds benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation.
