Jackets Look to Parlay Successful Road Trip Into More Home Wins: The Blue Jackets finished their pre-All-Star Break schedule with a five-game road trip. The club won the final two games of the trip to post a 3-2-0 mark. The club has gone 4-4-0 in its last eight road games compared to 2-8-2 in its previous 12 games away from home. Columbus is riding a current six-game home winning streak, which is a franchise record. The home winning streak began on December 26.

Blue Jackets Move Into Eighth Place Tie in Western Conference Standings: Columbus has gone 9-5-0 since December 29 to extend the best season in franchise history. With 56 points in 51 games, Columbus stands in second place in the Central Division and is tied for eighth in the Western Conference (Colorado has 56 points, but owns the tie-breaker with 26 wins). Columbus is five points behind fourth place Dallas.

Vs. This Week's Opponents: Phoenix – Columbus is 10-11-5 all-time vs. the Coyotes, including 7-5-1 at home… The Jackets are 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings, including wins in both games this season – 3-0 at home on Oct. 10 and 4-3 at Phoenix on Jan. 17… Nashville – Columbus is 12-26-4 all-time vs. the Predators, including a 4-15-2 mark on the road… The Jackets earned a 2-1 shootout win at home on Jan. 12 to snap a 12-game winless streak vs. Nashville (0-10-2) that dated back to a 3-1 road win on Apr. 3, 2006… The Jackets are 1-3-1 this season, including two one-goal losses at Sommet Center – 4-3 in a shootout on Nov. 10 and 4-3 on Dec. 27… Minnesota – The Blue Jackets are 13-10-3 all-time vs. the Wild, including 9-2-1 at home… Prior to a 2-1 loss on Dec. 8, Columbus had won eight-straight at home in the series since a 3-1 Wild win on Jan. 18, 2002… The teams split two meetings at the Xcel Energy Center this season with the Wild winning 3-2 on Oct. 6 and the Jackets winning 4-0 on Nov. 23.



Nash Collects 15th Hat Trick In All-Star Game History, Sets New Record: LW Rick Nash made his third-straight appearance at All-Star Game at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Jan. 27 and scored three goals for the Western Conference to register the 15th hat trick in All-Star Game history in an 8-7 loss. He also set a new All-Star Game record when he scored just :12 into the game, surpassing the previous mark for fastest goal to start the game (:19 by Detroit's Ted Lindsay in 1950). After being held scoreless in his All-Star debut in 2004, he has collected 5-2-7 in the past two All-Star Games after picking up 2-2-4 in last year's game at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Leclaire Named NHL's Third Star of the Week: G Pascal Leclaire has been named the NHL's Third Star of the Week for the period Jan. 21-27 after going 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average, .968 save percentage and one shutout in two games. On Jan. 22, he made 31 saves in a 4-2 win at Dallas and stopped all 30 shots he faced at Chicago on Jan. 24 in a 1-0 win to record his NHL-leading eighth shutout. He is 19-9-3 and also leads the NHL in save percentage (tied – .928), is second in goals-against average (2.00) and tied for 10th in wins (19).

Miscellaneous Notes: Rookie D Kris Russell scored the first two goals of his NHL career at Dallas on Jan. 22. His first goal cut a 2-0 Stars lead in half and his second was the game-winner in Columbus' 4-2 victory… RW Nikolai Zherdev has tallied 5-5-10 in his last eight games to raise his season totals to 20-23-43 in 51 games… Rookie LW Jared Boll scored his fifth goal of the season – and third game-winner – in a 1-0 win at Chicago on Jan. 24… D Adam Foote has collected 0-8-8 in his last 14 games.



HATS FOR HEROES NIGHT THIS SATURDAY: The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation Hats for Heroes Game Presented by bd's mongolian barbeque and the Fraternal Order of Police is this Saturday night as over 60 pediatric cancer patients and their families will be honored throughout the evening. The FOP will be collecting donations for the Hats For Heroes program and bd's mongolian barbeque will be selling $1 paper hats as part of their annual Paper Hat Challenge.

BLUE JACKETS TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS AT THE MALL AT TUTTLE CROSSING ON SUNDAY: Blue Jackets players will be meeting fans and signing autographs at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing on Sunday, February 3 from 2 to 3 p.m.
