NASH SNAPS SKID, TOPS 20-GOAL MARK FOR SIXTH-STRAIGHT SEASON
RW Rick Nash snapped an 11-game goalless streak with two goals – his third multi-goal game of the season – vs. Chicago on Jan. 16. The goals give him 21 on the season, marking the sixth-straight season he has hit the 20-goal mark. He also is one point shy of 400 for his NHL career (215-184-399 in 491 games). The multi-point outing against the Blackhawks was his 11th of the season and his first multi-goal game since Oct. 30 vs. Pittsburgh. He has registered a point in 30-of-50 games this season and his longest streak without a point has been two games. He leads the club in goals (tied for eighth in the NHL), points (tied for 23rd in the NHL), shots (182 – fifth in the NHL) and ice time among forwards (21:24).
HUSELIUS STAYS HOT, RECORDS 400TH CAREER POINT
LW Kristian Huselius has collected 4-6-10 in the past eight games after being held to 0-1-1 the previous 11 games. He snapped a four-game goalless skid with his 15th of the season and added two assists vs. Chicago on Jan. 16 to record his 10th multi-point game of the season and second three-point game, while registering the 400th point of his NHL career (168-233-401 in 593 games).
