The Jackets posted their best month in franchise history in December, going 9-5-2 during the month.

Columbus is 10-7-2 under head coach Ken Hitchcock. The Blue Jackets scored three or more goals in 13 of 19 games under Hitchcock.

The club is averaging 3.11 goals per game in 19 games under Hitchcock compared to 2.15 prior to his arrival. The Jackets only are allowing an average of 2.84 goals per game in the past 19 games after allowing an average of 3.25 in the previous 20.

RW David Vyborny, who leads the Blue Jackets in scoring with 10-26-36 in 39 games, has collected 6-12-18 with six multi-point games in his past 13 contests after registering 0-4-4 in the previous 13 games. He also netted his 100th career goal Dec. 28 vs. Detroit. He is two goals behind LW Rick Nash for the Blue Jackets all-time lead in goals scored.

D Adam Foote played his 100th career game as a Blue Jacket Dec. 31 vs. Chicago. He is expected to play in his 900th career game tomorrow night at Los Angeles.

LW Rick Nash has registered a point in seven of the past 10 games. He tallied 4-6-10 to bring his season totals to 13-17-30 in 37 games, ranking second on the club in points.

C Sergei Fedorov scored a goal Dec. 31 vs. Chicago to give him 13 on the season, which is one more than he had in 67 games with Anaheim and Columbus last season. He is tied for the team lead in goals with Nash.

D Ron Hainsey has notched 1-4-5 in his last six games and has set a career-high in goals (4) and points (18).

RW Dan Fritsche has a point in three of the past four games and brought his season totals to 7-10-17, setting career highs in all three categories.

LW Jason Chimera is riding a four-game point streak (2-2-4) and is expected to play his 250th career game tomorrow night vs. Los Angeles.

RW Anson Carter is two goals shy of 200 in his NHL career (198-213-411 in 645 games).

C Sergei Fedorov is nine points shy of 1,100 for his NHL career (456-635-1,091 in 1,088 games).

LW Fredrik Modin is eight goals shy of 200 in his NHL career (192-187-389 in 690 games).
