The Blue Jackets and Blackhawks, who will meet Tuesday night, have played twice at the United Center this season with both teams claiming a one-goal victory. Columbus won the first meeting 5-4 Oct. 7 and Chicago won the second 1-0 on Nov. 12.
The game will broadcast nationwide on VERSUS, which Columbus is 2-0-0 in games broadcast on the network. The Blue Jackets defeated Detroit 4-3 on Dec. 18 and rallied for a 5-4 overtime victory over Boston on Dec. 26.
Columbus is in the midst of playing six straight games against Central Division rivals Chicago, Detroit, Nashville and St. Louis.
D Ron Hainsey has registered 2-6-8 in his past 12 games to bring his season totals to 5-16-21 to set career single season highs in all three categories and lead club defensemen in points.
