HUSELIUS CONTINUES TO PILE UP POINTS, SET TO PLAY 600TH NHL GAME
Since enduring a 14-game goalless drought from Dec. 5-31 (0-4-4), LW Kristian Huselius has averaged over a point per game with 5-12-17 in 15 outings. He has picked up a point in 10 of those games and collected three two-point and two three-point outings during that stretch. He has registered 16-27-43 in 52 games this season and is tied for the club lead in assists, ranks second in points and tied for fourth in goals. He also leads the club with eight power play goals (12th-T in the NHL) and ranks second on the club in power play points with 18 (Anton Stralman, 19). Huselius’s next game will be the 600th of his NHL career (170-237-407 in 599 games).
RUSSELL SETTLING IN ON BLUELINE
D Kris Russell scored his first career overtime goal in a 3-2 win at St. Louis on Jan. 30 to give him 3-3-6 in his last 12 games and 6-10-16 in 47 games this season. He has tallied 6-6-12 in his last 30 outings (.400 points per game) compared to 4-31-35 in the first 150 games of his NHL career (.233 points per game).
