Feb. 25, 2001 –
Espen Knutsen set a club record for the fastest goal scored by a Blue Jacket on the road when he beat the Ducks’ Jean-Sebastien Giguere just 17 seconds into the game at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. The goal was the first of two scored by Knutsen to lead Columbus to a 5-2 win.

Feb. 16 – Los Angeles 4, at COLUMBUS 3 (SO):
Kris Russell scored with 1:23 left in regulation to erase the Kings’ third lead of the game and force overtime, but the red-hot Kings picked up the win thanks to Jarret Stoll’s tally in the shootout. Columbus erased 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 deficits to earn a point and was led by Rick Nash (1-2-3), Jakub Voracek (1-1-2) and Derek MacKenzie (0-2-2)… Feb. 18 – COLUMBUS 4, at Chicago 3: Trailing 2-1 heading into the second period, the Jackets got goals by Antoine Vermette, Derek MacKenzie and Anton Stralman to take a 4-2 lead en route to their franchise record sixth-straight road win. Steve Mason made 37 saves, while Matt Calvert (1-1-2) and R.J. Umberger (0-2-2) registered multi-point nights vs. the defending Stanley Cup champs.

JACKETS OWN EIGHTH-BEST RECORD IN NHL SINCE JANUARY 13
The Blue Jackets have posted a 9-3-3 record in their past 15 games, which is the eighth-best record in the NHL since January 13. During that span, the club has outscored its opponents 49 (3.27 per game) to 41 (2.73) and converted 10-of-51 on the power play (19.6 pct.), while successfully killing off 44-of-51 opponent power plays (86.3 pct.). JACKETS SET NEW CLUB MARKS FOR ROAD SUCCESS
The Blue Jackets have won six consecutive road games to set a new club record, breaking the old mark of five set earlier this season from Nov. 4-24. The club has also posted a 6-0-2 record in its last eight road games, which is also a club mark for longest road regulation unbeaten streak in franchise history (4-0-3 from Mar. 7 to Apr. 8, 2009). Over the past eight road games, the Jackets have outscored their opponents 28 (3.50) to 18 (2.25), including 21 (3.50) to 9 (1.50) during the past six games. With a 15-10-4 record through 29 games this season, the club has already surpassed the total number of road wins of seven of its previous nine seasons (2000-08, 2009-10) and is one win shy of the club record of 16 set in 2008-09 (16-18-7).

TEAM NEWS & NOTES
The Blue Jackets are 16-7-6 in one-goal games, including 8-6 in overtime (4-3 shootouts)… Columbus is 26-5-2 when tied (10-4-2) or leading (16-1-0) heading into the third period… The club's 16-1-0 mark after two periods (.941) is seventh-best in the league… Columbus has 14 games remaining in the regular season – 12 at home and 12 on the road… The Blue Jackets rank fifth in the NHL with 1,603 hits, eighth in face-off percentage (51.2 pct.) and 15th with 419 blocked shots.

MASON CONTINUES STRONG PLAY IN NET
G Steve Mason has gone 11-5-1 in his last 17 games and is 14-4-1 when facing 30 or more shots this season compared to 6-9-1 when facing fewer than 30. In his last six games, he is 5-1-0 with a 1.84 goals-against average, .944 save percentage and one shutout as he’s stopped 184-of-195 shots during that span.

CAPTAIN CONTINUES TO LEAD THE CHARGE
LW Rick Nash leads the Jackets in goals and points with 27-26-53 in 57 games and continues to rank among NHL leaders in goals (ninth), game-winning goals (sixth-T with six) and shots on goal (sixth with 235). He has collected points in 14 of the past 17 games (9-12-21), including his last four-straight (3-4-7). Nash is one of two current players (Calgary's Jarome Iginla) to score 25 or more goals in seven-straight seasons and is one of four (Iginla, Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis and Vancouver's Daniel Sedin) with seven-straight 50-point seasons. The Jackets are 15-3-3 when he scores a goal and 10-1-3 when he registers a multi-point game this season.

UMBERGER ANCHORS THE JACKETS LINEUP
LW R.J. Umberger has picked up 5-9-14 in his last 14 games to raise his season totals to 19-24-43 in 58 games. He is tied for the club lead with five power play goals, ranks second in goals, points and game-winning goals (three-tied), third in plus/minus at +7 and fourth in assists. He has also played in 225-consecutive games since Apr. 2, 2008 (with Philadelphia), including all 222 since joining the Blue Jackets prior to the 2008-09 season.

PLAYER NOTES
LW Chris Clark played in his 600th NHL game at Chicago on Feb. 18… C Derek MacKenzie has collected 2-5-7 in his last 11 games, including 2-2-4 in his last four outings… RW Jakub Voracek has notched 6-14-20 in his last 24 games… D Anton Stralman tallied 1-3-4 and is +5 in his last six games… D Grant Clitsome has 3-8-11 in 16 games and has been held without a point in back-to-back games just once since joining the club… LW Matt Calvert has tallied 3-3-6 in his last 10 games, including 1-1-2 at Chicago on Feb. 18 (his first career multi-point game).
