Jackets To Celebrate Holiday Season at Nationwide Arena: After opening the month of December with a 4-3 OT win at Calgary on Dec. 1, the Blue Jackets will play 11 of their remaining 13 games in the month at home… The club opens a five-game homestand vs. Dallas on Monday… Columbus is 7-3-2 at home this season… The lone road games of the month are Dec. 15 at Boston and Dec. 27 at Nashville.
Columbus Rebounds to Stay in Thick of Western Conference Race: After enduring a season-high four-game winless streak (0-3-1) from Nov. 7-12, Columbus has gone 4-4-1 in its last nine… With 28 points in 26 games, Columbus is four points out of second place in the Western Conference standings and three points out of second place in the Central Division.

All-Star Voting Update: LW Rick Nash and G Pascal Leclaire are among the players on the Western Conference ballot in the XM/NHL All-Star Fan Balloting, Presented by 2K Sports. As of Nov. 28, Leclaire led all Western Conference goaltenders with 76,665 votes (Vancouver's Roberto Luongo was second with 72,170), while Nash stood ninth among forwards with 43,477 votes (Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg is the leader with 115,453). Voting opened on Nov. 13 and ends on Jan. 2. For the second consecutive season, the balloting process is entirely digital and extends through Jan. 2. Fans can “Vote Now, Vote Often” online at NHL.com to select the starting lineups for the 2008 NHL All-Star Game. In addition, U.S. fans also can cast votes through Verizon Wireless cell phones.
C Michael Peca has collected 1-3-4 in five games since returning to the lineup on Nov. 23. The Blue Jackets have gone 3-2-0 in those games with a 10-6-2 record this season when he is in the lineup and 2-4-2 when he is not.
LW Curtis Glencross scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead the Jackets to a 4-3 win at Calgary on Dec. 1. The game marked the first multi-goal outing of his NHL career and gave him 5-1-6 in his last 11 games.
D Ron Hainsey had his six-game point scoring streak snapped at Vancouver on Nov. 29. He had tallied 1-6-7 since the streak began at St. Louis on Nov. 16. He continues to lead all Columbus defensemen in scoring with 3-12-15 in 26 games.
C Kris Beech tallied 1-1-2 at Calgary on Dec. 1 to record his first points as a Jacket. He made his CBJ debut on Nov. 12 and missed the next eight games due to a hand injury before returning against the Flames.
C Manny Malhotra had his consecutive games played streak snapped at 140 when he was a late scratch at Calgary on Dec. 1 due to a knee injury suffered at Vancouver on Nov. 29. His streak began on Jan. 24, 2006.
JACKETS "CELEBRATE THE 12 GAMES OF CHRISTMAS": In keeping with the spirit of the holidays, the Blue Jackets are celebrating the "12 Games of Christmas" with a host of promotions for the 12 home games between Nov. 24 and Dec. 31. Highlights of the "12 Games of Christmas" include: Dec. 8 vs. Minnesota – Nationwide Nights' Hockey for the Holidays as the first 10,000 fans in attendance receive a Blue Jackets scarf; Dec. 23 vs. Nashville – Post-game "Meet the Team" autograph session presented by Nationwide; Dec. 26 vs. Carolina – Annual FSN Ohio White Out T-shirt Night as all fans receive a Blue Jackets T-shirt courtesy of FSN Ohio; and Dec. 31 vs. Edmonton – The first 10,000 fans attending the New Year’s Eve contest against Edmonton will take home the 2007-08 Columbus Blue Jackets Yearbook.
