*Jackets in December: The Blue Jackets are 3-2-2 so far in December… The club plays 11-of-14 games at Nationwide Arena this month and went 2-1-2 during a recently completed five-game homestand… The best December in franchise history came in 2006 when the Jackets posted their first winning record in the month at 9-5-2.
*Standings Update: With 34 points in 32 games, Columbus has the same number of points as second place St. Louis (16-12-2) in the Central Division standings and are six points out of fourth place (Division leaders rank 1-2-3) in the Western Conference… Columbus has gone 5-4-2 in its last 11 games after a 1-5-2 stretch from Nov. 7-21.

*All-Star Voting Update: LW Rick Nash and G Pascal Leclaire are among the players on the Western Conference ballot in the XM/NHL All-Star Fan Balloting, Presented by 2K Sports. As of voting through Dec. 12, Leclaire was second among goaltenders with 135,447 votes, trailing only Vancouver's Roberto Luongo (154,591). Nash ranked ninth among forwards with 83,496 votes. Voting opened on Nov. 13 and continues through Jan. 2. For the second straight season, the balloting process is entirely digital and extends through Jan. 2. Fans can "Vote Now, Vote Often" online at NHL.com to select the starting lineups for the 2008 NHL All-Star Game. In addition, U.S. fans also can cast votes through Verizon Wireless.
*Hitchcock Reaches a Pair of Milestones: Blue Jackets Head Coach Ken Hitchcock reached a pair of personal milestones when the Blue Jackets hosted the Colorado Avalanche at Nationwide Arena on Dec. 12. In leading the club to a 4-1 win, he registered the 450th win of his NHL career in his 850th game as a head coach. The NHL's winningest coach since the start of the 1996-97 season, Hitchcock owns a 450-290-111 record in 851 career games.
*JACKETS "CELEBRATE THE 12 GAMES OF CHRISTMAS": In keeping with the spirit of the holidays, the Blue Jackets are celebrating the "12 Games of Christmas" with a host of promotions for the 12 home games between Nov. 24 and Dec. 31. Highlights of the "12 Games of Christmas" include: Dec. 23 vs. Nashville – Post-game "Meet the Team" autograph session presented by Nationwide; Dec. 26 vs. Atlanta – Annual FSN Ohio White Out T-shirt Night as all fans receive a Blue Jackets T-shirt courtesy of FSN Ohio; and Dec. 31 vs. Edmonton – The first 10,000 fans attending the New Year's Eve contest against Edmonton will take home the 2007-08 Columbus Blue Jackets Yearbook.
