Brassard is NHL's top-scoring rookie in October – C Derick Brassard was the NHL's top-scoring rookie during the month of October with 4-5-9 in 10 games. He added 0-2-2 vs. Chicago on Nov. 1 and currently leads the Blue Jackets with 4-7-11 in 11 games. He enters the week riding a three-game points streak with 2-3-5… Torres a hit in CBJ debut – LW Raffi Torres made his Blue Jackets debut vs. Chicago on Nov. 1. In 10:21 of action, he registered a game-high 10 hits… C R.J. Umberger has tallied 1-1-2 in the past two games, including his first goal as a Blue Jacket vs. Chicago on Nov. 1, after being held to 0-2-2 in his first nine games… C Michael Peca has picked up assists in three of his last four games, including the past two… D Fedor Tyutin scored his first goal as a Jacket vs. Chicago on Nov. 1… D Jan Hejda registered his second career goal and first with Columbus at Colorado on Oct. 30.

 

TEAM NOTES
Columbus is 1-0-1 in its past two games, picking up points in back-to-back games for the first time this season… The Blue Jackets racked up a season-high 51 shots on goal vs. Chicago on Nov. 1, which was just two shy of the club record of 53 set on Oct. 28, 2005 vs. Minnesota… Columbus is tied for 11th in the NHL in shots on goal (29.7 per game) and 10th in shots-against (27.8)… Columbus' 4-2 win at Colorado was just the second in 15 games at the Pepsi Center… Following Monday's game at the NY Islanders, the Jackets match a season-high with four consecutive games at home (Jan. 27-Feb. 3)… The Blue Jackets' opponents this week have won a combined 33 Stanley Cup championships – NY Islanders (4), Edmonton Oilers (5), Montreal Canadiens (23) and Calgary Flames (1).
