Apr. 8, 2001 – Ron Tugnutt made 29 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks at Nationwide Arena. The win was Tugnutt's 22nd of the season to set a new NHL record for wins by a goaltender on an expansion team. Blake Sloan, Jamie Heward and Deron Quint scored goals in regulation for the Blue Jackets, while Tyler Wright netted the game-winner in overtime

Activated LW Kristian Huselius off Injured Reserve… Assigned LW Maksim Mayorov to the Springfield Falcons (AHL)… Apr. 2 – Announced the NHL had suspended D Jan Hejda for two games… Mar. 31 – Added RW Tomas Kubalik to the roster on emergency recall from Springfield (AHL)… INJURY REPORT: D Grant Clitsome (Mar. 19 at Minnesota) is day-to-day… LW Rick Nash is day-to-day… G Steve Mason is day-to-day… LW Ethan Moreau (Mar. 22 at Colorado) is day-to-day… C Andrew Murray (Mar. 3 at Edmonton) is out indefinitely… RW Chris Clark (Mar. 12 at Carolina) is expected to miss three to four weeks. Man Games Lost to Injury: 229.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Mar. 29 – at COLUMBUS 3, Florida 2 (SO):
Rookie Maksim Mayorov scored the game-winner in the shootout and Steve Mason made 29 saves as the Blue Jackets snapped a six-game home winless streak (0-4-2). Scottie Upshall and Antoine Vermette scored in regulation for Columbus against Florida's Scott Clemmensen, who made 30 saves… Mar. 31 – at Washington 4, COLUMBUS 3 (SO): A depleted Jackets lineup battled back from 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 deficits to force overtime before former Jacket Jason Chimera netted the winner for the Caps at 2:30 of the extra session. Antoine Vermette, Fedor Tyutin and Scottie Upshall scored for Columbus, which also got 0-2-2 from rookies Tomas Kubalik and Matt Calvert. Steve Mason made 29 saves in net… Apr. 1 – Chicago 4, at COLUMBUS 3 (SO) – The Blue Jackets overcame an early 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead on goals by Maksim Mayorov, Derick Brassard and Samuel Pahlsson before Chicago forced overtime on Bryan Bickell’s goal at 14:57 of the third period. Viktor Stalberg scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Hawks the win. Mathieu Garon made 26 saves, while Anton Stralman (0-3-3) and Antoine Vermette (0-2-2) had multi-point games for Columbus. Chicago was led by Corey Crawford who made 31 saves in net… Apr. 3 – St. Louis 6, at COLUMBUS 1 – Leading 2-1 after one period, the Blues broke open a tight game with two goals in the second period and two more in the third to earn the win. Patrick Berglund scored two goals and Jaroslav Halak made 23 saves to lead St. Louis, while R.J. Umberger scored his 25th goal of the season for Columbus.

BLUE JACKETS LOOKING TO END SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE
With a 34-32-13 record and 81 points through 79 games, the Blue Jackets have already ensured themselves of the second-best season in franchise history (41-31-10, 92 pts. in 2008-09). The club earned points in three of four games last week (1-1-2). Columbus has set a franchise record for road wins and points with two away games remaining with a 17-14-8 mark (42 pts.).

TEAM NEWS & NOTES
The Blue Jackets have gone 14-12-10 in their last 36 games… The Blue Jackets are 17-14-7 (41 pts.) on the road this season, breaking the franchise record for road wins in a season set in 2008-09 (16-18-7, 39 pts.)… Saturday’s season finale vs. Buffalo marks the first time the Jackets have concluded a season vs. an Eastern Conference opponent… The Jackets have earned points in 10 of 19 games (3-9-7) since Feb. 27 with 10 of those games one-goal losses… The club is 19-9-13 in one-goal games this season… Columbus is 10-3-3 against the Eastern Conference this season and has gone 37-16-9 vs. the East since the start of the 2007-08 season… The Jackets have scored power play goals in back-to-back games after being blanked in 11-straight… Columbus has three games remaining in the regular season – one at home and two on the road.

UMBERGER SETS CAREER HIGH FOR POINTS, TIES CHIMERA’S IRON MAN STREAK
LW R.J. Umberger scored a goal vs. St. Louis on Apr. 3 to raise his season totals to 25-31-56 to set a new career high for points in a season. He is also one goal shy of his personal best of 26 set in 2008-09. He has also played in 246 consecutive games dating back to Apr. 2, 2008 vs. Pittsburgh (with Philadelphia). Against the Blues, he played in his 243rd-straight game as a Blue Jacket, which ties Jason Chimera's franchise record set from Oct. 9, 2005 to Apr. 5, 2008.

PLAYER NOTES
LW Tomas Kubalik collected 0-2-2 at Washington on Mar. 31, becoming the third player in CBJ history to record a multi-point game in his NHL debut (Jakub Voracek, 1-1-2 at Dallas on Oct. 8, 2008; Grant Clitsome, 0-2-2 vs. Vancouver on Mar. 2, 2010)… LW Maksim Mayorov scored the SO game-winner vs. Florida on Mar. 29 and scored his first career NHL goal vs. Chicago on Apr. 1… C Derek MacKenzie leads the club with a plus/minus rating at +15 with three games left in the regular season. The highest plus/minus rating by a Blue Jackets forward is +12 (David Vyborny, 2002-03) while the club record is +23 (Jan Hejda, 2008-09)… D Anton Stralman has picked up 0-4-4 in three games since missing 15-straight due to injury, including a career-high 0-3-3 vs. Chicago on Apr. 1… C Antoine Vermette had a four-game points streak (2-3-5) snapped vs. St. Louis on Apr. 3...
