LW Jared Boll (shoulder, Oct. 10 vs. Phoenix) is day-to-day… RW Derek Dorsett (stress fracture leg; Sept. 25 – Injured Reserve) is expected to miss four to six weeks… Man Games Lost to Injury: 6.


*The Blue Jackets are 2-0-0 at home, outscoring their opponents 7-0; and 0-2-0 on the road, having been outscored 8-3… This season marks the first time in club history the Jackets have shut out their first two home opponents.

*With a win over Dallas on Wednesday, Columbus can match the best start at home in franchise history… The club went 3-0-0 with wins over the NY Rangers, Vancouver and Chicago in 2003-04.

*Milan Hejduk's goal at 3:56 of the 2nd period at Colorado on Oct. 13 was the first power play goal allowed by the Blue Jackets this season… Columbus began the campaign by killing off 19-of-19 opponent power plays and currently ranks third in the NHL in penalty killing at 91.7 percent (22-of-24).

*With a goal at Colorado on Oct. 13, D Rostislav Klesla became the 14th Blue Jacket to record a point this season.

*Columbus has won four of the last five meetings between the Blue Jackets and Stars (4-1-0), dating back to a 5-4 OT win on Apr. 18, 2006… Prior to that stretch, the club had gone 2-16-1 in the first 19 games of the series.

*The Blue Jackets lead the all-time series vs. Buffalo with a 4-2-1 record, including 2-2-0 at HSBC Arena… Columbus posted a 3-2 win at home in the last meeting on Jan. 26, 2007, while the Sabres won 6-0 on Mar. 29, 2004 in the last game played at Buffalo.

*The Blue Jackets are 7-13-4 in the all-time series vs. Vancouver, including a 4-5-3 mark at home, but has gone 7-7-2 since the start of the 2002-03 season… Columbus went 2-1-1 last season and each of the last five games between the two teams have been decided by one goal.


*G Pascal Leclaire set a franchise record for longest shutout streak by a goaltender at 156:29. The streak began on Feb. 18, 2007 and ended when Joe Sakic scored at 6:07 of the first period at Colorado on Oct. 13. Leclaire broke the previous record of 155:28 set by Fredrik Norrena from Dec. 2-Dec. 9, 2006… His current home shutout streak, which includes a pair of games this season (28 saves vs. Anaheim on Oct. 5; 32 saves vs. Phoenix on Oct. 10), is 150:22… The last goal scored against Leclaire at home came on Feb. 18, 2007 at 8:37 of the second period by Montreal's Francis Bouillon.

*LW Jared Boll scored the first goal of his NHL career vs. Phoenix on Oct. 10.

*LW Jason Chimera has played in 166-straight games since Oct. 9, 2005, which is the second-longest streak in club history (194, David Vyborny from Oct. 17, 2002-Dec. 20, 2005). He is four games shy of 300 in his NHL career.

*C Sergei Fedorov has tallied 33-44-77 in 77 games vs. Dallas in his career. His 33 goals are the most he’s scored against any NHL opponent, while the 77 points rank second behind the 32-54-86 he’s collected in 91 games against Chicago.

*RW Nikolai Zherdev has registered 6-5-11 in nine career games vs. Vancouver.

*C Manny Malhotra played in his 200th game as a Blue Jacket at Colorado on Oct. 13.

The exterior of Nationwide Arena has been lit "pink" in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer program. In addition, Blue Jackets coaches and broadcasters will be wearing specially designed pink ties to promote breast cancer awareness and Jackets captain Adam Foote and his wife, Jennifer, are hosting a special group of breast cancer survivors in a suite for the game.
