^ Jackets' Four-Game Win Streak Snapped: The Blue Jackets had their four-game winning streak snapped on January 19 in a 3-1 loss at Dallas. The streak, which included wins over St. Louis, Nashville, Vancouver and Phoenix, matched the longest of the season (October 23-31). Columbus is riding a current six-game home winning streak, which is a franchise record. The home winning streak began on December 26.

^ Blue Jackets in Thick of Western Conference Race: Columbus has gone 7-5-0 since December 29 to extend the best season in franchise history. With 52 points in 49 games, Columbus stands in second place in the Central Division, is ninth in the Western Conference (three points behind eighth place Vancouver and eight points behind fourth place Anaheim.

^ Vs. ^ Nash Heading to Atlanta This Weekend: LW Rick Nash will make his third-straight appearance at All-Star Weekend January 26-27 at Philips Arena in Atlanta. He was scoreless in his All-Star debut in 2004 at the Xcel Energy Center and registered 2-2-4 in last year’s game at American Airlines Center in Dallas. In addition, he has won the Puck Control Relay in the past two Dodge SuperSkills Events. He is the third Blue Jackets player selected to participate in the All-Star Game and the first to make multiple appearances. The two other Blue Jackets who have represented the club at the All-Star Game are: Espen Knutsen (2002) and Ray Whitney (2003). He leads the Blue Jackets with 25-17-42, seven power play goals, four game-winners (tied) and 192 shots on goal in 47 games

^ Zherdev Continues to Terrorize Opposition: RW Nikolai Zherdev has 5-2-7 and 27 shots on goal in his past six games and had a five-game point scoring streak snapped at Colorado on January 20. He has raised his season totals to 20-20-40 in 49 games. His career high is 27-27-54 in 73 games in 2005-06.

^ Miscellaneous Notes: C Derick Brassard registered his first career NHL point when he assisted on LW Fredrik Modin's third period goal at Colorado on January 20… Modin's goal was his first in his second game since returning to the lineup after missing 35 games due to a back injury… C Michael Peca has tallied 2-4-6 in nine games since returning from injury on Jan. 3… LW Jason Chimera has notched 2-2-4 in his last six games after collecting 0-5-5 in his previous 20 outings… D Rostislav Klesla has scored two of his six goals in the past five games.
