Blue Jackets to host 2014 NHL Draft Party on June 27 at Nationwide Arena

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets invite fans to share the excitement of the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft at the team’s annual NHL Draft Party and Open House, presented by Coldwell Banker King Thompson, on Friday, June 27 at Nationwide Arena. The festivities will be headlined by autograph opportunities with Blue Jackets players Mark Letestu, Curtis McElhinney and Dalton Prout. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

The party starts at 6 p.m. on the floor of Nationwide Arena with live Draft coverage from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia set to begin at 7 p.m.

In conjunction with the NBC Sports Network telecast shown on the Dispatch Media Center, the Blue Jackets broadcast team will be providing comprehensive coverage of the club’s activities, including interviews with draft picks and team personnel. FOX Sports Ohio announcer Jeff Rimer, color analyst Jody Shelley, and Blue Jackets Radio Network announcer Bob McElligott will anchor the coverage live from Philadelphia while FOX Sports Ohio studio host Bill Davidge contributes from the party at Nationwide Arena. 
The broadcast can be heard locally on WBNS 1460 ESPN Radio, online at and via the Blue Jackets mobile app. Fans are encouraged to join the conversation by submitting questions through Twitter.

As part of the Open House, fans can check out available seat locations for a variety of ticket plans for the 2014-15 season.
