Blue Jackets to hold 2014 FanFest on Friday, September 12

The Blue Jackets will host their 2014 FanFest on Friday, Sept. 12 at Nationwide Arena, the team has announced. The event will run from 6-9 p.m. at the arena and features a variety of fan-friendly games, tours and more. It is free and open to the public.

The event will give fans the opportunity to meet Blue Jackets players, participate in other interactive activities and celebrate the game of hockey. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Here's a list of the Blue Jackets players scheduled to attend FanFest: Anisimov, Atkinson, Bobrovsky, Boll, Calvert, D'Amigo, Erixon, Goloubef, Hartnell, Horton, Jenner, Johnson, Letestu, McElhinney, Murray, Prout, Savard, Tyutin, Tropp

In addition to autograph sessions with players, activities during FanFest include:

•Interactive game stations (video games, air hockey, bubble hockey) with players
•Skills stations including slap shot and goalie shot-blocking activities
•Photo booth kiosks
•NHL All-Star Game display with chance to win an NHL All-Star merchandise prize pack
•Tours of the Blue Jackets locker room
•Open skating at the OhioHealth Ice Haus
•Street hockey for kids
•Photo opportunities alongside the Blue Jackets Cannon
•Kids activities including face painters, bounce house, balloon artists

The Columbus Blue Jackets begin preparations for their 14th National Hockey League season with the opening of training camp, presented by OhioHealth. The team will take the ice for the first time on Friday, September 19 at the OhioHealth Ice Haus. Further information regarding training camp and open practice sessions will be announced soon.

Tickets to the four Blue Jackets preseason home games at Nationwide Arena are on sale now at the Big Lots Box Office at Nationwide Arena, OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers. Fans may also purchase tickets by phone at (800) 745‐3000 or online at BlueJackets.com, the official club web site, and ticketmaster.com.
