GAME 13: BLUE JACKETS VS. BLUES
NATIONWIDE ARENA, 7 P.M.
TV: FOX SPORTS OHIO / FOX SPORTS GO
RADIO: CD 102.5 FM & BLUEJACKETS.COM
SETTING THE STAGE: The Blue Jackets had a few days to regroup and bounce back from a disappointing overtime loss in St. Louis last weekend. They followed it up with an overtime win over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday, but the next night, it was a messy affair against the Bruins in Boston.
Turnovers were the story in a 5-2 loss that unraveled quickly in the first period. Nick Foligno's opening goal was washed out by four Boston goals in a span of four minutes. Sergei Bobrovsky was pulled after the fourth goal and Curtis McElhinney finished the rest of the game in his first relief appearance of the season. As much as they could probably dissect that game, the Blue Jackets don't have much time before getting back into game action.
Their two-game season series with the Blues concludes on Saturday night at Nationwide Arena, which will also be Hockey Fights Cancer Night in partnership with OhioHealth. The Blue Jackets have done well in rebounding from tough performances so far this season, and they'll need a strong effort against a structured and disciplined St. Louis team.
NOTEWORTHY NEWS: Both Sonny Milano and Markus Hannikainen were assigned to Cleveland (AHL) on Friday morning. Milano played two games in his most recent stint with the Blue Jackets. Brandon Dubinsky remains day-to-day with a lower body injury, but it's possible he could return to the lineup as early as Saturday. Sergei Bobrovsky is the expected starter for Columbus.
PROJECTED CBJ LINEUP: Will be known after Saturday's morning skate, depending on availability of Dubinsky.
