Blue Jackets roster moves: Sep. 24

COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The Columbus Blue Jackets have made their first roster moves of training camp today, returning two prospects to their respective junior clubs: left wing Markus Soberg (Windsor/Ontario Hockey League) and defenseman Blake Siebenaler (Niagara/OHL). The club also released goaltender Scott Munroe from his professional tryout contract. He is expected to report to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate. The Blue Jackets’ training camp roster now stands at 50 players.

The Blue Jackets, who are 3-0-0 in the preseason, return to action on Thursday when they visit the St. Louis Blues. Game time from Scottrade Center is 8 p.m. ET. Columbus’ next home preseason game is Wednesday, October 1 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
