COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have trimmed four players from their training camp roster, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The moves bring the club’s current roster to 31 players.
The following players were assigned to the Lake Erie Monsters, the Blue Jackets’ American League affiliate – defenseman Oleg Yevenko as well as goaltenders Anton Forsberg and Joonas Korpisalo. In addition, left wing Brett Gallant will be placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Lake Erie.
The Blue Jackets return to practice on Monday, September 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Nationwide Arena. Columbus, which earned a 4-2 win at Pittsburgh earlier today to improve to 2-2-1 in the preseason, returns to preseason game action on Tuesday when the club visits the Nashville Predators. Game time from Bridgestone Arena is 8 p.m. ET.
